  • Automatic potable water distribution pump

  • Transport height reducible from 2,150 mm to 1,500 mm

  • Designed for air freight transportation

  • Manufactured using quality branded components

  • Typical manufacturing timeframe of 2–3 weeks

ABOUT THE CLIENT

The client is based in Papua New Guinea and required a purpose-built water treatment system capable of producing potable water in a compact and transportable package.

Due to the requirements of transporting the system to its destination, the plant needed to combine treatment performance with a practical footprint and reduced transportation height.

CHALLENGE: DELIVERING POTABLE WATER TREATMENT IN A COMPACT, TRANSPORTABLE PACKAGE

The project required more than simply providing a filtration system. The plant needed to deliver a reliable potable water treatment process while remaining compact enough for transportation.

Aquasol needed to account for the system's final dimensions and transportation requirements during the design and manufacturing process. The completed skid measures 2,000 mm long, 1,160 mm wide and 2,150 mm high.

For transportation, the filtration vessel can be laid down, reducing the overall height to approximately 1,500 mm. This provides a practical configuration for air freight and makes the system easier to transport to Papua New Guinea.

The system also needed to provide controlled distribution of the treated water according to demand.

SOLUTION: A COMPLETE 7 M³/HR FILTRATION AND DISINFECTION SYSTEM

Aquasol designed and manufactured a 7 m³/hr skid-mounted potable water treatment plant specifically around these requirements.

The treatment system combines filtration with UV sterilisation, providing a multi-stage approach to producing potable water. The UV steriliser is incorporated to disinfect the treated water by targeting bacteria before the water is distributed for use.

The entire system is controlled through a PLC system, allowing the plant's operation to be managed automatically.

A dedicated potable water distribution pump is also incorporated into the system. The pump automatically turns on and off according to potable water demand, helping the system respond to changing water requirements without requiring constant manual operation.

The complete plant is assembled on a compact skid measuring 2,000 × 1,160 × 2,150 mm. For transportation, the filtration vessel can be laid down to reduce the overall height to approximately 1,500 mm, making the unit suitable for air freight requirements.

Aquasol manufactured the system using quality branded components, with a typical manufacturing timeframe of approximately 2–3 weeks for this type of system.

RESULTS: COMPACT, AUTOMATED AND READY FOR TRANSPORT

The completed filtration plant provides the client with a 7 m³/hr potable water treatment solution in a compact skid-mounted configuration.

The combination of filtration and UV sterilisation provides the required treatment and disinfection stages, while the PLC control system enables automated plant operation.

The automatic potable water distribution pump further improves the system's functionality by operating according to water demand.

The compact design also provides a significant transportation advantage. By laying down the filtration vessel, the system's height can be reduced from 2,150 mm to approximately 1,500 mm, allowing the plant to be prepared for air freight transportation.

The visible difference between the feed water and treated product water demonstrates the transformation achieved through the treatment process.

With the system already manufactured and available, Aquasol can also provide additional images and technical information for clients interested in similar applications.
