THE CHALLENGE
Fulgham required a wastewater treatment and recycling system for a timber chipping mill capable of treating process wastewater generated by the log washing operation.
THE SOLUTION
Aquasol designed and supplied a 15 m³/hr wastewater treatment and recycling system incorporating biological aeration, clarification, multimedia filtration, chlorine disinfection, PLC controls and containerised filtration and disinfection equipment.
THE RESULTS
The project delivered a 15 m³/hr integrated wastewater treatment and recycling system designed to produce treated water for reuse in the log washing process, with additional applications for irrigation and dust control.

ABOUT THE CLIENT:
Fulgham Fibres Chile was the client for this wastewater treatment and recycling project in Los Sauces, Chile.
The project involved the design, supply and installation of a 15 m³/hr wastewater treatment and recycle system for a timber chipping mill, with treated water intended for reuse in log washing and irrigation.
CHALLENGE: TREATING WASTEWATER FROM LOG WASHING
The project required a dedicated treatment system for wastewater generated through the wood-chip logwash process, with a design treatment flow of 15 m³/hr.
The system needed to provide biological treatment, clarification, filtration and disinfection while enabling treated water to be recycled back into the industrial process.
A further requirement was to integrate the filtration and disinfection equipment into a containerised configuration, allowing the treatment equipment and controls to be transported and installed at the site.
SOLUTION: INTEGRATED WASTEWATER TREATMENT AND RECYCLING
Aquasol designed, supplied and installed a 15 m³/hr wastewater treatment and recycle system for Fulgham Fibres Chile.
The treatment process incorporated a biological aeration lagoon, spiral clarifier, polishing tank, multimedia filtration and chlorine sterilisation.

The project delivered a 15 m³/hr wastewater treatment and recycling system for the Los Sauces timber chipping mill.
The completed system combined biological treatment, clarification, multimedia filtration, final polishing and chlorine disinfection to produce treated water for reuse in log washing and irrigation.
