ABOUT THE CLIENT:

The project was delivered for the Sedgman Civmec Joint Venture, for BHP Billiton Iron Ore, as part of the Jimblebar Expansion Project.


Located at Jimblebar Mine near Newman, Western Australia, the project involved the design, supply and commissioning of a potable water reverse osmosis plant.


CHALLENGE: DEVELOPING POTABLE WATER TREATMENT FOR A MINE EXPANSION

The Jimblebar Expansion Project required a dedicated potable water reverse osmosis plant.


The project involved more than supplying RO equipment. It required the development of the RO treatment process and associated engineering documentation, including mass balance development, P&IDs and engineering drawing conversion to BHP standards.


The project also included project variations and staged commercial delivery, requiring the engineering and commercial scope to be managed throughout the project.

Aquasol was engaged to provide the required design, engineering and commissioning services.
