AQ6500
FILTRATION MEDIA SPECIFICATION

AQ 6500 is a revolutionary Iron,
Manganese, and Arsenic Filtration Media that has been extensively used in a
wide variety of  applications for over 15
years.

Aquasol distributes this technology
product with associated equipment.  The
unique micro porous structure of AQ6500 makes it efficient in the removal of
Iron, Manganese, and Arsenic compounds from raw water.

20’ Sea Container Fitted with 50m3/hr           Touch Screen PLC Control system for

Arsenic removal filtration system                      Arsenic / Iron removal
system

Advantages
of AQ 6500 include:
•Filtration speed at up to twice
the amount of ordinary filtration. L.V. 10-30 m3/hr (effective at high filtration
rates)
•No chemical regeneration is
required. Only periodic backwashing required.
•Easy and fast installation and
decreased washing time at trial operation.
•Superior reduction capabilities
of Iron and Manganese concentrations, with results of 0.005 ppm and less than
0.001 ppm respectively having been achieved.
•Requires only a continuous 0.1
to 0.3 ppm injection of Sodium Hypochlorite to remain activated during
operation and backwash. No other chemicals required.
•Coagulants not necessary other
than for special applications
•Long life material. Stable
performance in a wide range of temperature and pH applications
•Extremely competitive pricing
makes AQ 6500 suitable for a much wider variety of applications than
competitive media.

AQ 6500 acts as an oxidization catalyst
allowing immediate oxidization and removal of the insoluble precipitate.
Arsenic when bound as ferroarsenate also be removed down to <1ppb.

AQ 6500 is not consumed in the process
providing enormous advantages over other removal processes.  AQ 6500 is manufactured and supplied in 20 kg
plastic lined bags or 1 tonne bulker bags. Both are packed on export grade
pallets and plastic wrapped for secure transport.

FERRIC SULPHATE

WATER TREATMENT COAGULANT

Application Ferric Sulphate is a liquid coagulant which has
self-flocculating characteristics. Ferric
Sulphate may be used in the clarification of low turbidity, highly
coloured, raw waters.  Ferric Sulphate is highly effective
as an emulsion breaker for oil-in-water emulsions.•River water
coagulation.

•Treatment of oily waste waters.

•Treatment of mining tailing wastes for As removal and H2S gas supression.

•Treatment of industrial waste streams.

•Treatment of food processing and distillery wastes.

•Sludge control coagulant.

•Treatment of process wastes.

•Primary coagulant:100-2000ppm

•Coagulant aid:10-100ppm

•Oil treatment:  10-1000ppm

AERATORS

Operation

A surface mounted self-aspirating propeller type aerator that draws atmospheric
air below the water’s surface and transfers it via a hollow induction shaft
into a highly mixed horizontal water system not unlike the wake of a boat.  This effectively creates fine bubbles and
mixes air and water into any lagoon, tank or other basin that requires it.

Mixing Capabilities

The aspirator aerator can be used alone or in multiples, or in combination with
other types of aerators to provide optimal efficiencies for particular applications.

Multiple aerator
installations can completely or partially mix
very large volumes of water at the lowest installed power, and provide excellent
turndown capabilities.

Treatment Efficiencies

This means that the power put into your aerator
ensures oxygen distribution throughout even the largest basins - something many
other types of aerators fall short on. This results in better treatability of water
or wastewater at lower installed power by more effective use of available
volume in the treatment plant.

There is little benefit in installing what appears on paper to be an extremely efficient
aerator that, in the end, only effects one small portion of your plant and
leaves large volumes un-aerated and unmixed.

ODOUR CONTROL

Odour Control

The aerator is particularly useful where there are high strength wastes and
odour concerns. It's subsurface action negates the possibility of splashing and
associated vapour borne odours common to other surface aerators.

FLEXIBILITY OF INSTALLATION

Flexibility of Installation

The aerators range from 2.2kW to 75.0 kW and can be mounted on floats, fixed to
a bridge or wall etc. Aerators can also be easily installed in fluctuating
water level situations. Options such as stainless steel flotation assemblies,
work platforms (on larger units), anchoring and cabling information are all
available on request.

FLEXIBILITY OF APPLICATION

Flexibility of Application

Multiple small units can be installed to create an oxygenated 'odour cap' on very
large and deep basins at very low required power, or conversely can aerate and
circulate very shallow basins where other types of aeration cannot be used.

Larger multiple unit installations
can suspend the heaviest solids loads in the deepest basins. From full solids
suspension applications to the gentlest circulation requirement - there is an aerator
installation to suit.

LOW NOISETENANCE

Maintenance

Maintenance on the aerator is inexpensive and
extremely simple. It can be carried out in the field for the most part by
unskilled personnel, with little plant downtime experienced.
